    Default Recent rain/weather conditions

Hey all, sounds like fishing has been good. I had planned on coming down this weekend. While the weather looks good for the weekend, I see you are supposed to get a lot of rain between tonight and tomorrow. If someone gets a chance, can you please let me know tomorrow how much rain came down overnight? Been down there several times during heavy rains and we know what happens to the clarity. Not much rain to speak of in the northern part of the state. Just wondering if maybe we should wait till next weekend. Thank you in advance!

I live in Marion, which is 45 minutes due east of Kinkaid. It rained all day yesterday and is still raining today. It is not suppose to stop until late tonight. A lot of the fields are flooding and the drainage ditches around here are high and muddy. There is a flood watch for our area. I'm going to try to get over to the lake on Saturday. If I do, I'll post a report on the conditions. You should be able to find clearer water on the main lake.

    Default Weather Update

Went out for abut 4 hours yesterday evening. Water wasn't to bad, I've seen it worse. Water temps have droped quite a bit, 64-66. I only got action from one fish. Others we saw coming of the lake had seen and caught a few. Nothing huge, but still putting fish in the boat. The rain is supposed to stop a lil after 1pm today. I'm gunna head out again today, I'll post and update this evening.

    Default Update...

Matt and I braved the weather. Pretty much rained all day and I must admit I'm pretty whopped. Had some decent action though! Moved one fish mid afternoon, then wha bam they turned on. Matt nailed a fat 44, while he was trying to get his lure out of the net I got lit up on a top water and boated a chunky 3 footer with his lure still in the net haha. We moved a few more after that and called it a day. Water temps were bout the same, fish seem to be bitting in the windows. Good luck to all.
