    Default 9-22-09 report

Did a little musky guiding as of late and there are some fish going. Again the chances to boat one though are slim and if you don't land those few hits you are SOL! Yesterday 15 minutes into the trip my client John hooks a beauty but then of course she skies and gets off...this season is really getting old. Jerkbaits and topwater get my vote as of late. With the cooler weather headed our way maybe we will get a hot fall bite going...maybe...

Walleye bite is still good but when I see 10-11 inch fish in the gut buckets...well, some people just have no common sense...for the sake of the fisheries eat a damn nine inch perch which will yield more meat!!!

Brian, is the DNR even considering adopting a slot limit or reduction of limit on Cass? Keeping a 10" walleye is absurd!!!

    Thumbs down

    Todd,
The DNR has zero plans for the Cass Chain at this point. The lake is perfectly normal according to their data.
