    Default St. Croix River

We had eight follows on Saturday of the tournament, yet we could not find an "eater"! I raised a fifty incher on a Cowgirl Saturday morning, and our friends Joe Andersen and Aaron Templin caught a nice forty-three inch musky right next to us when Dave boated his big pike. Dave also had a thirty-eight incher come out of the water like a missle after his Boogerman buzz bait right away in the morning, yet it missed the hooks. Sunday was much tougher, as we only raised one musky and trolled a bunch with no luck.

Kudos to the top teams who either were local and knew the spots on the spots, or else teams like Tony Grant's who were told of the cold spring water pattern by a local guide, which ultimately was the key to catching multiple big fish on small spots. Another thank you to my friend Terry Hagstrom for his help showing us some spots on the river. We need to shake off our tough luck at this event, and focus on the Championship at the Madison Chain of Lakes in October.
