    Default algae bloom???

Heading up north again this weekend, was wondering how the algae bloom was affecting the musky fishing??? Came up a few weekends ago and was stumped about what to do, fished the larger clear lakes but no takers. How is the affecting the chain. thanks for any info practice CPR

    Default 2 weekends ago...

2 weekends ago I was up and the bloom was in full force on Eagle, Otter, Yellow Birch, and all of the smaller ones. We raised 2 muskie and boated 1. I'm not sure if that helps at all...

When the chain and some of the smaller lakes go green I like to go to a slower retrieve and I don't use anything that darts side to side. I still fish alot of the same locations and have found I get more fish on the figure 8. Right now slow rolling bucktails and spinnerbaits has been working and also topwater in the evening.
