I cant help to think how lucky I truly am to be fishing in the modern world.Imagine Musky fishing with the equipment the old timers had?A 14ft boat was a luxury no fish finders, no temp gauges, ya just learned from experience, imagine the stories some of those old timers could tell. All of us who fish for Musky might also say id take those old days with the tackle and equipment because the fishing was incredible, Ohio Musky once spawned!Bass, in Ohio have thrived thru days gone bye only time they need stocked is in a new lake.Crappie,Bluegill fit in the same mold they have continued to thrive thru all these years cause they reproduce.Lake Erie, still has the same gene pool of surviving Bass that it had 200 years ago but it now has limits imposed. As an avid Musky Fisherman the Musky has a right to live on and grow big so does a Bass,Saugeye,Walleye,Crappie and even the lowly Bluegill.Musky fishermen, are not responsible for anyone with an Ohio fishing license, that are allowed to take home several Bass a day and you need to direct your anger towards those who set forth regulations im sure if all you Bass heads got together like ya did in the past youd make changes.Just realize a Musky is very incapable of reproducing on Ohio waters. There are folks who will take home anything that bites and they dont worry about getting caught and they are a PROBLEM but its real easy to point the fingers at the species CHANGE THE FORMAT AND ALL OF US WILL EXPERIENCE FISHING LIKE THE OLD TIMERS DID!
