    Default Kinzua/River Water Temperature

I have not been on the water for 11 days (but who's counting) and saw the water temps in the paper this morning.............The Res is at 61 and River is 59!! Those temps have dropped 7-8 degrees in less than 2 weeks and we are still in early-September.

The trout/walleye should really be turning on very soon.

I was at Pinchot Lake 3 weeks ago and the temps were in the low 80's. Last weekend, they were in the low 70's. I was shocked that the temps dropped 10 degrees in 2 weeks.

I've been to that lake 5 times this year and have yet to even see a musky. GRRR!

The water temps I posted earlier are not correct. The real River temp is about 68 at the outflow and near 70 South of Warren. The ACE must have done their measurement very early in the morning in some stagnant water or something.....not sure how there could be a 10-degree difference in just 3 days.
