Just finished a great meal of walleye and jumbo perch with good family, good wine and typical fish stories from the night before. The walleye bite last night was pretty good. My boat finished the evening with 7 in the box and my dads boat with 14. Guess I should have had my guys bring warmer clothes and stay out later as that was the difference. Water temps are up a bit to the 68-70 degree range just as they should be starting to drop. Last friday I did a walleye trip in the gale force winds and after we put a handful in the box we tried a little musky fishing. With in a few minutes I had a big girl miss my bait twice...three minutes later the biggest Cass Lake pike I have ever seen missed my bait by a mile...stupid fish need glasses.
