Fished 5 days last week. Wind, weather, and June like air temps continue to be the norm. Fishing has been on and off depending on which side of the front your fishing. Been trying different techniques on practice days to see if there is something to get the fish in an aggressive mood....nada....spent quite a bit of time cranking deeper rock reefs with very little success, even tried pulling some cranks only to catch a few eyes, drop shotting has produced a few fish but most of the fish are still being taken on grubs, tubes, and soft plastic stick baits.
Saturday guided Roy and Peter Y. from the twin city area. We had to work hard for the + 10 or so fish that we did catch. It was post front conditions and it seemed like the small fish got active then a few big boys got into the game latter in the day. Roy had a nice 4 pound 5 oz bronzeback (personal best) with son Peter caught a 4 pound 2 oz beauty both came on soft plastic stick baits.

Fishing continues to be a challenge. Remember the fish are still swimming around out there, the fish still have to eat, and do all those fish things....most important..... if you dont chase em' you cant catch em'
