    Question Lake Erie Smelt

    Charlie was on Erie the past 2 days launching out of Dunkirk and Buffalo. He said there were tons of dead smelt floating around with their mouths open but no bruising or scars on them. He thinks they might be the by-product of some upwelling but is not sure.


    Does anyone have any info about what might be going on??

    I'm not sure if this is what is going on now, but it is a possibility that this is still occurring.
