    Default Brown Trout Derby 8-1-09

On the water at 4:15am-off the water at 4:45. Made it out about a mile from Cedar River and turned around after meeting 4 footers. A few brave souls were out there though in much larger boats. Hopefully it will lay down a bit by tomorrow. Guess theres always a possibility of winning a door prize in the raffle!

Wise decision to stay off the water. I never even took the rags off of my boat this morning.

    Cool Ditto!

Same up here at the north end. Small craft advisories + 25 knot winds = a re-scheduled trip. When the flags are standing straight out at 5:30 a.m. you know it's not a day to be on the water. We could have probably headed out on the bay somewhere, but if you can't fish where you want to fish and fish effectively, then you're just taking people for a boat ride and this captain won't do that. Tomorrow's another day...
