The weather and fishing improved considerably.

Muskie activity was a little quiet earlier in the week, but got better as the week went on. One boat picked up 4 fish in one morning of fishing, including a 47" biggie. Also had 41 and 43 inchers in three casts that same morning. Congrats, JR! Patterns have been changing almost daily, but rocks in the wind worked early in the week, then weeds in calmer areas worked better later. Other anglers spent the whole week working rocks and did ok too. Weeds morning and midday, and then rocks at night worked for one group too.

A side note was all the boat traffic east of us in Sabaskong. It had been a couple of years since so many boats have been out there so it's great to see people getting back up here and spending some time on the water. There is more structure to fish than anglers to fish it so don't be shy to find a piece of shoreline or a rock reef and look for your personal best muskie.

Walleyes have been on the edges of humps again, but with all the weather coming and going (two storms in the last week) they have also been found on rubble shorelines and deeper points. Minnows and leeches are still the top 2 baits to go with jigs or spinners. Also had a couple of guests trolling cranks around reefs and they picked up a few walleyes that way too, including a nice 26 incher that was released.

We had a few anglers casting for some bass this week and they found a few around boulder shorelines. Of course, they landed a muskie, some nice northerns and some walleyes with their bass lures too so you can cast and catch multi-species up here.

One boat wanted to catch some perch and they did great up near Miles.

Fishing and weather shoudl be decent again this coming week. Already some big walleyes caught and huge muskies seen and lost. It's only a matter of time before the HAWGS OF SUMMER go wild. I hope I'm out there when they do.

Good fishin everyone.
