last few days

Fished off and on last few days, working on bear baiting and my shack as well. Most notable thing was a fair size muskie attacked a 16" smallie I was fighting - had it by the head and was just thrashing it. I got into a lot of bass, again the topwater bite consists of a lot of bumps, rushes, and wiffs - they weren't eating it. Switch to the powerbait jerk shads and they kill it. Ended up with 3 muskies, largest were in the high 30s but I didn't bring them out of the water to be sure. The musky hits came on 10" power salamander, a crappie pattern manta, and a bucktail. Lot of rain last night.... should help.
