Yesterday I guided some folks from Madison out on the Chip for walleyes. The fishing was pretty good, we only fished three spots all day. On the first spot we caught about eight smallmouth bass up to about 16 inches, and some big bluegills, we kept ten or so of the 'gills and moved on. On the second spot we caught a nice 15 inch walleye right away, so I dropped the anchor and we ended up catching twenty walleyes right there. We kept six of the nicer fish, 14 to 21 inchers and let the rest go till next year. After lunch we hit another spot and picked up another 17 inch walleye, a pike and a few smallmouth. We had a good time, caught some nice too!

Good luck and good fishing,
Jim Stroede
