The muskies are starting to move and chase baits much better now that the water temps and weather have warmed up. We boated a 45 incher on the 6th of July. That has been the biggest musky so far. The other lake that i guide on has really turned on for Bass and Northern Pike. I had a group out on the 7th for 4 hours. We caught and released 34 Northerns and 6 nice Large Mouth Bass in a four hour trip. We were casting spinnerbait along the shorline and around docks for the bass and casting the weeds for the Pike. The water temps on Vermilion are now in the upper 60's. I had a temp reading in one shallow bay that i fish the hit 72 degrees. We still could use some warmer nights to get the temps up where they should be. The mukies i've been moving are still chasing smaller bucktails. I haven't had much luck with bulldogs or any other larger baits. Mantas have been raising some fish. If you have any questions or would like to book a trip give me a call at 218-780-2615. Thanks.
