This is a couple of weeks late but hopefully will help guests find fish. Our family was at Candian Haven the week of 6/5 and had a great time despite cooler than normal temps, rain and high lake levels. Would guess water was 2-3 ft higher than normal.

The first part of the week featured some pretty cold temps -- as Dick mentioned in his post, highs were in the 50s with nightime lows in the low 30s. Wind was out of east to north. We found walleyes in 17- 25 ft fishing off walls in Big Camp and off points in Gohere Bay area.

Later in week temps improved slightly with winds shifting more from the south and west. We tried fishing a bit shallower thinking a degree or two in water temperature might move them up. Really didn't seem to effect things right away. Thursday and Friday were the best days weather wise with temps hitting high 60's.

Caught a few of the prettiest crappies we have ever seen -- almost an irridescent green color. In the fall we fish for crappie and usually catch slabs that are bassically whitie. These were almost black.

Noticed that in Dick's posts that the temps got a bit better the week after we left and now fish are moving more to there summer patterns.

Will be coming back in Sept!
