The walleye have continued to bite despite the heat of northern Wisconsin. These fish are either shallow taking jigs and half of crawler or leeches. Or they are out over the muddy bays where mayflys continue to hatch. I have seen more of the hex (big mayflys) the last few days which means on some lakes they could be coming to an end. Yesterday, I saw surface temps reach 80 degree for the first time in June. I cant remember this happening in a long time. Remember the warmer the water gets the more the fish eat.

Good Luck
