Take a look at my post of August 13, 2011, when I first noted the impending development. Dfkiii said he hoped there wouldn't be a McMansion built there. Early Retirement said he wouldn't build...
So what is the link to the water level site? I keep getting an error message for old link.
The rain pushed it to within about an inch of full pool and it rose an inch in the last day.
It looks like they are struggling to keep the lake below full pool. They've jacked up the discharge rate by 2,000 cfs in the last two days and only stayed even at less than two inches from 1313....
I'll bet it gets over full pool by the time I get a chance to see it in person on Friday. And the outflows will get above 5,000 cfs. And our docks will be partly under water. And I won't bother to...
Or you could just take a look at the Deerfoot web cam.
Must have been snowing hard. All I see is white.

Drunk skunk....with a skunk pattern on the top...anyone could tell what it was with a glance....and plenty would buy it for the name.
I see the water level is a little more than eight feet below full pool. The target for the drawdown was eight feet. If it's still this low when the ice goes out, how about walking around and...
Who caught the bear? Nice release.
I meant to say it is down 16 inches now, but it's rising daily.
A week or so ago, the lake was down two feet from full pool. After more than 4 inches of recent rain, it's risen 8 inches and is down about 14 inches now.
So far this trip I haven't laid eyes on a musky, but one of my neighbors here caught a 48-incher while using a 1/32-ounce jig fishing for bluegills. The musky took the bluegill and the jig fell free...
I suspect he's particularly happy that he picked so late that all the reasonable dates were already selected.
Yea, lots of water going out. It's been at the same level every day this week and the lake has been steady. It was over 5,000 cfs a few times last summer, and it didn't have much effect on the lake...
How about April 27?
Lots of nice fish this year. Last year, the tournament ended on Sept. 11 and my wife and I went out a couple of hours after it ended and caught a 48-incher, my first musky caught while musky fishing...
I dropped by Treeland's this morning to check the list, and a 51.25 had been caught yesterday near the campground. Also a 48 on Pete's Bar and a couple of other large ones, including one on something...
How about this one from last summer? 42 pounds from Deer Run site.

Now there's a title you don't see every day. A cousin is coming up to visit us on the Chip next week and he's a serious carp enthusiast. I know there are large carp in the Chip but have no idea where...
He must have been two years behind me at Normal Community High. His father owned the local Spudnuts shop, where I spent considerable time. Great donuts. The best ever. Checking Google, I see his dad...
Hey, Ty.....do you know if Fred Knee grew up in Normal, Illinois?
