Sweet! I like the 10"ers
The muskie are relatively easy for them to produce. Mussels are much more complicated. They have to find a source (and they are afraid to deplete another river or stream of that species), find the...
Dido on what Toothy and Red had to say about the Etec. Been running mine 4 years and same experience as Toothy with the maintenance. It also has a very easy winterizing sequence to run if you need...
As many of you may know, Dunkard Creek, which once was a very productive smallmouth and muskie fishery, was destroyed a few years ago.
The stream has since cleaned up and now has some fish in it...
"As a result of the regulation, about 600 Wisconsin waters will have the 40-inch minimum for musky in 2012, while 20 special waters will have a 28-inch minimum and 20 others will have 45- or 50-inch...

It says the old record was 52.7" so it looks like it is a new length record.

After ready the Lidner's book "First Light on the Water", I give them a lot of credit for how they ran their business. They turned down money from beer advertising due to their moral convictions...
On the lower end of the yough sewickly creek is supposed to have a good pike population in it. I've only caught 2 pike in the river.
The only decent arguement that I've heard against a 50" limit is that since female muskies generally are the ones that become this trophy size, there would be a chance for overpopulation of males...
I saw on the MMA site that PF&BC was scheduled to be at the last meeting to share what the effects of the 40" limit has done.
Can anyone who was there share some details? Thanks
You should be happy with that set up. I purchesed one of those rods and the 9' musky armor (Hulbert) rod at the same time last year and I like the Hulbert rod better but the okuma is nice especially...
Hey Rap at least you got on the water. Spent over an hour busting ice at the launch the other day and the ice won.
Is that the same one from the MH site?
Here is another one...

Merry Christmas to all and may everyone get some new tackle under the tree!!!
Thanks Red,
That website you mentioned is .net... I didn't see any on there. Do you know where to look under on that website?
Can anyone point me in the right direction to research properties on the Allegheny. Not looking at anything fancy, just a fishing camp. If anyone can send me some type of trader magazine that has...
That is the reason i only go on that site every couple months or so... to much football and other talk to sort through to find fishing info. They need a football or off topic board on that site.
Check out the Musky Armor/ Mike Hulbert rod. I have that and an okuma 9'3" rod. The Hulbert rod is my go to though. Very light and nice fat cork... it's easy to throw anything up to mag dawgs. I...
Dido on that's a nice pike. I usually only see fish around 24" in Pa.
at least the other species your getting are big. We snagged a big carp too back in Feb while muskie fishing.
On another note after 3 years of fishing together Joel and I finally both boated a...
how long was the pike?
Congrats Brian... you coaught the needle in the haystack for sure! Nice to see a trophy come out of the yough. Are you getting it mounted?
Congrats on the nice fish and very cool video! That's a nice fish for the yough.
How do you like your new box Red? :)
Congrats on the nice fish! I would guess around 27-28lbs. I'm with Red wishing I caught a 28lber this weekend. Put 2 in the net yesterday that didn't weigh 28lbs combined lol. Both hit boatside...
