Hey Ty, where did that bog end up? Far enough from the CC South launch blow back in?
How is the water level this summer?

Anything going on the ghosttails as of late? Sounds like the cowgirls are the bait of choice for the late summer season?
Only technique or change up that I have used successfully is a slight speed increase when you have a fish waking behind your lure for a portion of the retrieve. Speed change should be subtle not...
Thanks Ty. That did the trick. I had trimmed the wrong barb.
Ty,
I've got a pacemaker that seems to have lost its mojo. Think it has something to do with my having replaced the middle hook. Can't seem to get the steady tap tap tap with any adjustments to...
Any numbers on Big Game or Slammer lures this year?
Wow! That is a very good ratio of 40 plus inch fish to total catch.
Any chance you can tell us the stats on lures? Last year the Ghosttail reigned supreme if my memory serves.
Ty,
Do you know when and if the video will be available for purchase with your outing with the Musky Mayhem crew? From what I remember it was a pretty good outing.
Ty,
Those are some great stats. Really appreciate the fact that you are willing to share this information. The size distribution of those fish holds a lot of promise for some real dandys in the...
Ty,
How late do you throw the topwater lures normally. Haven't done well yet myself this year on twitch lures but the temps are dropping fast. Have had a good year on topwater this year for...
Nice!
Looks even bigger than 50#.
I firmly believe that fishing lures work better with one eye.
Had to repaint my favorite wood pacemaker this year and I took the original sticky eyes off. It now has no eyes and as such has no...
Here is the 46 caught on the Chip this week on my favorite Pacemaker.
You are correct! We bagged two today on pacemakers, one was a jr sized musky, the other a tubby 46. Will put up some photos when I get back home. We had a tough day though yesterday, just saw fish...
You gotta like it when the cameras are rolling and you have a day like that! Great job. What were the hot lures?
That is a solid fish. Nice job!
Pacemakers rock!
Ty,
Kudos to a great lure. Pair of muskies (42 followed by a 38.5) caught within 10 minutes of each other last night on a pacemaker in NE WI. Warming up this lure for the Chip next week.
Ty,
Any particular reason that you think the Ghosttails are doing so much better than other bucktails, or if you were to lump some of the others together would they amount to something...
Thanks for the stats Ty
Will be heading out to the Chip in early Sept and stocked up on some ghosties based on your previous reports. Have always been a big pacemaker fan and plan to give them...
I thought the rock bar was out a ways from the bridge, or is there two of them in that same area?
Anybody have GPS coordinates of these that they could post?
I take it the 11" ones rule the summer and fall?
The newer ones have a mag switch. You may need to adjust the position so that the magnet sits lower in the switch. Pull the wire from underneath and you can move the magnet.
Hey Ty,
Which ghost tail do you prefer, the original 8" or the 11" mag?
Keep in mind that the gear ratio on Suzuki is 2.59:1 which is higher than Mercury Optimax 2.07:1. That means that you would need to run a higher pitch prop to get the same number of turns for a...
I have owned a 90HP Suzuki for 4 years on my 1750 Fishhawk. Have been very pleased with this motor and have not had any problems as of yet. I get 39 mph GPS with the factory 19 pitch propeller. ...
