Given the recent "heatwave" and daytime water temps in the upper 50s/low 60s, are you throwing topwater baits anymore or sticking to more traditional fall baits (bulldawgs, suicks, etc,)....

Go to the Chip, rent a boat, and don't allow the "in-law's" opinion to enter into the decision.

And if it were a Minnesota fish, then it must have been caught in Lake X ! :-)

Here's hoping a McMansion doesn't appear there over the next year or so...

It is going down - the further you get away from Hayward ! It was $3.99 in town today, in Spooner it was $3.94 and in Siren it was $3.85. Food for thought when you drive up....
