Birchpoint is all condos now. Pine trees Hideaway is just the Hideaway now. Club 51 is now the Cranberry Inn I believe. Hopefully someone can fill in the blanks regarding Twin Tahoe.

I saw a number of boats out on Sunday night. They were not out the 2 nights prior to that that I saw. The 1st boat came by and cleaned out what few walleyes were there. The next boat that came by had...
Hey now!!!
wherever you are staying, push the pier out and leave beer in the fridge.
Just got back from the Flowage today and had a great time fishing. We caught a lot of fish but used live bait and "got vertical" in the heavy wood. It seems to be a difference maker when it comes...
How do you clean and prepare an eelpout?
Musky-28" I don't really fish for them, lost several of them bigger that grabbed fish I was fishing for.
Walleye- 28" thru the ice
Largemouth-16"
Smallmouth-19 1/2" a couple of them...
I wish there were more walleye with the rest of you, but I find smallmouth delicious. In fact, I like them better than walleye. I throw a lot back but I keep my share as well. When I hear people...
It was between Deadhorse and the Hideaway.
I'm not sure about Al Capone but that would make sense about Joe Popko because I believe Marge's maiden name was Popko.
My family used to stay there for years (since the 60's!) and I believe was owned and operated by Al and Marge Feece for many years. I'm not sure if anyone owned it prior to the Feece's. Then Kevin...
I'll take April 25th at 2:59 pm. Just messin with ya Brad.
Unfortunately, I think we as fishermen already stay out of the casinos. I could be wrong.
I caught eelpout(same as burbot i think?) on two different occaisions, also caught what looked like a Goby minnow ( I sure hope it wasn't) a long time ago. I once lost a lure at one of my favorite...
Just got back from a week on the TFF. Worked hard for relatively few fish, mostly rock bass, bluegill and occaisional smallmouth.
I make my own weedless jigs with mustad hooks that bend fairly easily out of snags. It works out pretty well, but nothing is completely snag-free, and if it is it wont hook a fish either.
Tff classifieds sounds like a good idea.
To me, this story is just as bad as someone who purposely kills a smallmouth because it is not a walleye.
I'm sorry I meant you would run into First Bay.
First Bay is just north of twinbay. If you made a straight trip from Fisherman's landing toward Big Island you would run into Twin Bay.
Twin Bay is the bay between Big island and Long Island.
Try vertical jigging the visible stumps. Try several areas around the stump to get under the roots. This yields mostly rock bass, but also on occasion perch, smallmouth and bluegill. There are a...
If you are in a pinch yet with a boat rental, let me know if it doesn't work out with Big Dave.
Thanks for the info. I was curious too about whether leaving the skin on perch or walleye would add any flavor. I always just skin them. Seems to me the flowage perch skin would be too thick to...
What do you guys think? Skinning the fish you're going to eat or scaling them?
