You talking about the new mega imaging?
So the state has gone back on their condemnation of LMB? That is good to hear, it always sounded like a stretch to me (especially since I never heard of data to back up claims of predation on walleye...
Could you provide a link?
Hey Ty,
My Dad and I were hoping to book time with you that week as well, I think he left you voicemails. We would like to book the 29th if it is still open.
Thanks.
I thought the Diawa Saltists were conventional reels (i.e. no levelwind).
That sounds like a good argument for manufacturers to start messing with two-speed casting reels.
I am a fan of Garmin eTrex units. I have had a Legend and a Vista, both were great. Good maps can be downloaded for free from gpsfiledepot.com. I am not sure if good lake maps are available or not.
My vote is for lost land lake lodge.
It looks like you can download the episode on the Mike Keyes Outdoors website. I downloaded a zipped file that appears to be a quicktime video. Haven't tried watching it yet though.
I fly fish. Mostly for trout, a little for bass, and I have tried pike/musky. Are you completely new to fly fishing or just looking for advice for doing it for musky on the chip? If you are totally...

I agree with Dave that LED is the way to go. However, I have to disagree with Ty somewhat. I have always preferred Princton Tec, and they are a bit cheaper than Petzl and work great. I used to work...
Just some interesting results from a quick google search, but useful information for the question.
I am not sure what species are in the Chip specifically, but the state is supposed to only have a few species. WI species include the devil, calico, northern clearwater, golden, rusty, virile, white...
I believe there was also a vote regarding walleye and bass regulations. I am a little confused by the action of the DNR on this issue. I no longer live in the area, so I don't hear everything, but I...
It appears I wasn't looking around enough until hanson's post. That gear ratio would indeed make a big difference. It also looks like there is no longer a difference in line capacity. Price either...
That seems pretty expensive for a trion (especially when you through in $13 for shipping). I paid $70 for one at cabela's a few months ago. It was the display model because it is discontinued (I got...
What is the advantage of the winch model over the regular toro (other than $70 less). They both come in the a 5.4:1 gear ratio. The winch has more bearings, put there are plenty of people out there...
I like the brown sucker/sucker pattern on the rollie and helen's link. That is a good imitation of white suckers and maybe golden shiners too, two major forage species on the chip.
I realize the bass talk is a digression for the original post, but of great interest to me nonetheless. I must disagree with tait about buzzbaits a bit. I prefer three bladed buzzbaits because I can...
I agree with Snizz
#9 then #8.
SBarick,
That is the one for me so far. I like that it pays homage to WI and Hayward. I also like the basicness of it. A little more detail to the musky like eyes, teeth and maybe fin details would...
What kind of reel is it? Is it that reel for halibut, or something like that, that you were talking about this summer? My wrist hurt for the rest of the week when you had me burning cowgirls!
Any guess as to what that scar is from on the bigger fish?
