Two problems with your fishing methodology on the TFF:
1. Not fishing with live bait (althought that can be overcome)
2. Not fishing during the crappy/windy weather!
Like the original trolling ban in the first place? :p Glad to see it was reversed. For those people who have some experience trolling, it is far from "easy fishing". I can't see this affecting the...
So......
What, specifically, has she done in her new role that anyone here objects to to this point?
Good read... thanks for posting...
Hopefully the 2 walleye limit keeps the sour grapes crowd off the water completely! More peace and quiet for me and the people I enjoy the TFF with :)
I could be wrong (not likely hehe), but R= rustic, ie just a campfire ring and john.. and F=family, ie campfire ring, john, and log table..
the Blair site has a steep grade to get up to it... kind of a pain in the butt, and not much space at all for tents, etc.. Gets alot of traffic back there, too, at times..
Where would mattess island be? Sounds like the kind of place I could take the wife on a scenic tour this summer!
Sums the flowage up perfectly!
Apparently cabin fever is starting to set in for the TFF goers. This thread was a highly entertaining read, especially the parts regarding conspiracy theories! Plenty of posts ripe with hypocrisy as...
I listened to some propaganda, produced by people with an agenda..
Specifically, what has Stepp done so far, in her new role, that people find objectionable?
It's always part of a good day when I can stop in the shop and get some quality bait (with generous counts!) from him. Thanks, Chris!
Agreed! Thanks Chris
Oh, and thanks to Chris for the generous bait count...as usual.
DITTO THAT.

I've seen them at Fleet Farm... or Gander... one of the two (here in GB)
The hard part about covering alot of water looking for crappies is the relatively stained water.. It's near impossible to sight fish, depending on the conditions..
Best bet would be to find...
tomjohn, PM on the way.. Got an awesome tip from Chris/baitshopguy last year that accounted for nearly every whitefish we landed last season (after experiencing the same thing you described earlier)
How are you trying to catch them? What lure/method, etc?
The fish would just look at it and not bite?
Sounds like you're doing everything right! hahahaha
Frustrating, isn't it?
hey..... beats workin'! hehe
thanks for the update(s) Chris.
Chris, how's the ice thickness and travel conditions on lower bay, terrace area? Got any suckers in stock at the shop?
Thanks

Awesome!! They say you never forget your first time..
a packrat sighting! hey, buddy..
I may try out some lights this year.. will post back here on results.. I've got to think, with the clear water up in LBDN, that they may work pretty well..
I'm interested in the replies as well...
When I fish LBDN I typically stay overnight on the ice in my popup shanty 1. because it's cheaper than a hotel and 2. because I don't have to wake up...
