Hello Bill,
It's been a long time. Stopped by your place a number of times this summer.
Have a good season and catch the big one.
Yesterday we had open water, but it did freeze over this morning with temps in the single digits. A few people have been out fishing in the protected bays.
Back to winter,
Thanks, please do stop by. Have met lots of great people who follow this site. It's pretty cool meeting the person and put a face to their handle. Everybody we've (Flambeau Fluffy and myself) met...
Your welcome Jay, Temps are in the upper 30's along with strong south winds for the last two dazes...... It's suppose to cold down the next few days, but the winds are going to be strong.
We...
Woke up to very strong winds and open water. Tried to get some good pictures, but the rain is blowing into our area too hard. Waves are about three feet or more with big gusts from the northeast.

A deer was on the ice yesterday and couldn't get up. Flambeau Fluffy called the local DNR warden. They came all the way across the Big Island to save this young deer.
Ice started Saturday, but...
Randy, the locator is find, when we went to Trude, the water was down. This was only a few dazes after ice out. Haven't been back, but will check it out sometime.
Have a great day and catch the...
The channel under the bridge is about four feet, but the approach on both sides is only two to three feet. Low water could be a problem.
Tuesday Flambeau Fluffy took a boat ride to Trude Lake. Water temps were 45 to 48.
Yesterday went fishing, water temps were 46 to 51.
Today sunny and warm,
No Scott, just happy to be on the water.
Just nice to be in the boat,
Connor, that isn't, but I'm sure you've seen this spot.
Nice seeing water,
Now your talking my language Don. Put the boat in at Sportsman Landing and did all the check up from the winter storage. Fluffy want to go fishing yesterday when the ice went out, but had too much...
Welcome back Scott and your right, the lone tree that stands out was a give away. It shows how the tall the woods was before the tornado hit.
Great to see open water,
It's written in Flambeau Fluffy's Big Book of Records, the ice went out a 5;00 p.m. Sunday, April 12, 20015.
The pictures were taken at two o'clock, during our ice out party.
Have great spring,
DPW sure got that one.
How about another?
Raining and in the 30's. Some open water around Sportsman Landing. Yesterday Fluffy said that we haven't seen any Mergansers. This morning two...
Good one skywalker11, now let's see if you can get this one?
Freezing rain to day in the Nort woods.....,
Good one gdi....
These are too good not to share.
We got nine inches of snow yesterday. Was out ice fishing on Sunday and had twelve inches of ice. The shoreline is showing some ware in...
Sorry about miss leading everybody....., but it sure should be part of the flowage now.
Sorry about the late start on guessing that spot. Wasn't sure if there would be a following for it, but just by Connor bring it up did spark a interest.
Here is a sure sign of spring.
There is...
Don't know what to tell you sureshot612,
As I sit here looking our on the flowage and see no one fishing for a whole week. That has to tell you that the fish just aren't feeding. So far the...
Andy, call what you want, but its not nice to pick on the Polish.....
Fricking cold out,
Last night the flowage froze over. With temps at zero and no wind. Heavy frost, as you can see in the attachments.
If women don't find you handsome, they should find you handy,
Ice formed along the shoreline overnight. The winds just died down and ice is starting to skim over the open areas. Kind of cool watching the ice form, little by little.
Have a great day,
There is ice on the north shorelines. From Lake Bastine north it's frozen. Still open water out front. With the cold temps it won't be long.
There is about twenty inches of snow on the ground. ...
