I am planning a trip to the Hayward/Cable area Aug 14-20 and plan to take a day and go to Superior. The plan is to put in at Washburn. Any suggestions as to where to fish for smallies and walleyes?...
Thanks Jason, I read this after spending a day on the "Chain" and I agree with what you have heard. The overcast and north wind should have been helped but it was still hard work. We did manage one...
Thanks Jason, I will look forward to hearing from you and the info.

I am coming to Minocqua 9-27 again this year and I am looking for a recent musky report for the Minocqua Chain. I have always heard that surface lures work well this time of year over shallow water,...

We stayed shallow most of the time. I guess we should have moved deeper more, but the fish we saw were shallow. Did not see anything when we cranked in deeper water, did try a Dog too.
Nothing really to report. We had one small follow, but could not get it to eat. It was off a shallow rock/sand bar. The blue bird days and clear water made it tough even at night. Maybe some one...
Thanks, I am in town now and will hit it tomorrow and Wed. Please let me know what you find out, and I will post any sucess I have on my own.
I am heading up to Minocqua Monday 9-14. I am looking for information on the recent musky bite. Location, presentation etc. Thanks.

I was wondering how the current mild weather has affected the musky fishing. I have not seen many reports, and was wondering how it was going. Have not had a lot of time to make the trek up fro...
I saw it on lake-link.com Here is the post from there, posted under the Waubesa section on 6-19

I read on an other site that there will be some weed treatment of Waubesa and Monona starting next week. While probably safe for muskies, I am wondering how the act of said treatment would effect...
What lake were you on?
Thanks!! Now lets keep the rain away!
Any one know the water temps of Waubesa and/or Monona?
Where can I find the rest of that story. I too remember reading posts about your find. However, I live in Rockford IL and never heard what happened.
Very good Gerard, thanks.
I saw the pics of those monsters, did they come from Wauby or Monona?
Finally made it up to the Mad Chain today. Had 3 small muskies follow, saw 2 others cruising, and caught a small pike. All in all a good day.
I was planning to come up to the Mad Chain today, but descided to deal with real life (run arrands, pay bills etc) and also let the storms blow through. Please, will some one please post a report as...
thanks it does help
As a result of weather and work issues, I have not made it up to the Chain yet this season. How is the musky action so far? What are the water temps on Waubesa and Monona?
