Well, I made it back to Lebanon after spending the past 4 days in the town of Westford. I spent Sunday evening on Conneaut Lake. No bites or follows. Pleasure boaters and floating weeds made it darn...
Thanks Pescatore!
Gonna be in the area this weekend and part of next week. I'm gonna have my boat with me, which I can't take on Pymo due to the horsepower restrictions. I'd like to give Conneaut Lake a try. I know...
The longer leaders are used for trolling for 2 reasons.
The first, like you mentioned, is in case the fish rolls. The line can get wrapped near the gill plate (or in their mouth) and cut the...
Never been to Lunge Lodge, but I've heard good things about it. I've been going to that area (Upper French/Lake Nippising) for 25+ years but have always stayed at Sandy Haven Camp.
Pymy is a big lake. I personally would plan on at least 2 days there. It takes awhile just going from spot to spot with the hp restrictions (unless you plan on alot of trolling).
They do look nice Red. I also saw that he posted the pics on OntarioFishing.net. I'm jealous!
I just picked up 2 Gander Mt. 8ft rods....they were marked down to $39!!! I bought the only two that...
I read about the "super moon" on Saturday too. I already told the wife to not include me in her plans for Saturday...lol.
Big Daddy can get to 6-8 feet deep depending on the length of pulls and angle of the tail. Has a nice wobble on the rise too.
Red,
I have one. I can get mine to about 6ft or so and has a nice wobble as it rises. You can bend the tail (like a Bobbie or Suick) to make it dive deeper.
I fished with Marc during the summer of 2007. He had no problem at all if we wanted to go back to the spots he took us. He just didn't want us (brother, dad, and I) to share the information on the...
I'm in need of new trailer tires. Can anyone give me some recommendations on brands (or brands to stay away from)? I made a few phone calls already and found a pair of Carlilse 205 75 14's for...
I use the Downeast holders and no complaints.
That is a bummer!
I think you have me confused with another Tony?????
All 10 of my toes are fine and always have been.....?????? lol
I met you (and Arizonangler) at Cabela's and at Bass Pro a year or two ago....
Red,
I was hoping to make it out to see you this weekend but ran out of time. (Remodeling the darn bathroom and ran into more snags than I thought possible!) Are you going to be at BassPro in...
Thanks for the info Nitro! I think I'll give it a try myself and see how it goes with the Carbonex washers.

Caught a 16" largemouth on a 10" Suick.
Caught a 20" pike on a Mag Dawg. The poor pike was hooked deep too.

Thanks Guys! I'll be on the phone this weekend!

The drags on 3 of my ABU's are shot (I have to crank them down with pliers in order for them to not slip easily) and would like to send them somewhere to get fixed. I know there are places in the...
Count me in. I will have room for 2. (the lake is unrestricted horsepower right?)
I've been making my own Floro leaders for a few years now. Some tied, some crimped. Mainly use 150lb Triple Fish, but use 80lb for smaller stuff.

Ha Ha....that's why I think a thump to it's noggin would be in order. I would really like to see someone put the record controversy to an end.
I guess for me it would be a game time decision. If it had a 30" + girth, I think I would thump it. I hope I have the problem of having to decide this some day!!!
