Waukesha Area lakes October

Water temps are in the low 50's and turnover is finishing up. We have been finding active fish along the deep weed edges and pockets near rocky areas. Casting, trolling and live bait fishing has all been working. Twitching the larger 8 and 10 inch Slammer minows and 7 inch Deep minnows in perch, sucker and golden shiner color patterns have been best.
Larger suckers worked boat side have been good with the casting. Trolling weededgs or open water near bait fish is still working. 4 and 6 inch deep shad and 7 inch deep minnows trolled 3 to 3.5 mph in perch and shiner color pattens have been best.
