Christmas in September ?

Hit the pond for the first time in a month yesterday. Launched at South Shore due to late start, and ugly traffic. Started at Green Can, heading South. Marked a few nice fish, no takers. Turned back North at Sheridan park, marked two nice fish,dropped one rigger 5 feet, never made it back to helm. 20 minutes later netted 32" 13lb King for my friend Dutch. Shortly after that a board line went off, shaker King we released. Landed first fish at 8:10, second at 8:25. Big King hit a white/blue Posieden fly behind a white Spin Doctor, 50ft. behind ball, 35 down in 47 fow. Fish were holding about 5 ft. off bottom in 52 degree water. Second, shaker hit a white peanut fly behind an orange Alderton flasher, 2 colors lead core,as did the 3rd King, a 16" that we also released without netting. Saw several large bait balls, almost top to bottom in 35-40 ft.
Just like Christmas, 3 Kings. Crabby was circling just south of us nearer the gun club, and in closer. Hope this helps someone else. Rich
