Fishing Report June 23, 2010

Lake conditions: Water Surface temps 68-70 degrees, Water Color: Algea bloom beginning to show up in certian areas of the lake, Water Clearity: 3 to 5 feet. Lake Bug Hatch: Bug hatches: Mayfly hatch occuring, fish fly hatch also showing up.

Bay Wisconson last week. Fishing was slow due to frontal conditions but the fish caught were quality in size. Noticed bass were still on bed in certian parts of the lake, while some fish are prespawn. Chris caught his personal best smallie that weighed 4pound 12 oz. A total of 15 fish were caught.

Fished Tuesday June 22nd with Mike Schulzem,Wi and Roy Bertolozzi, Fla, Christian Serik and Bob Phillips both from the Twin Cities. Split up in two guide boats. Beautiful weather, and fishing was both tough and good. Between the two guide boats around 50 smallies were caught. Mike and Roy both caught their personal best fish. We had several fish in the 4 pound range and 3 over 5 pounds. Soft plastics did the trick on most all fish caught.
We also noticed several fish still on bed, while males were guarding the fry.
