2011 31st Anniversary Spring Classic of Champions Results

The 31st Anniversary Spring Classic of Champions Muskie Tournament was held on the Eagle River Chain of Lakes at Eagle River, WI on June 11th & June 12th.

1st Place & $7,000:
Scott Mc Cann, Ringle, WI and Chad Hinz, Gleason, WI

Winning with 3 fish:
Scott caught a 34 1/2” and 40 3/4" both on Suicks
Chad caught a 38 1/2” on a Suzy Sucker

2nd Place & $2,000:
Dan Wojtusik, Eagle River, WI and John Meyer, Louisville, CO

Winning with 3 fish:
Dan caught a 40 1/4” on a Suick
John caught a 38” and 38 1/2” both on Suicks

The top two placing teams caught 5 out of 6 fish on Suicks.

The 31st Anniversary Headwaters Chapter of Muskies, Inc. Spring Classic of Champions was held on June 11th and 12th. There were 69 boats entered with 138 people fishing the tournament. The headquarters for the tournament was Wild Eagle Lodge with fishing limited to the Lower Eagle River Chain.

Lakes fish were caught in: Catfish 10, Yellow Birch 6, Duck 4, Cranberry 4, Eagle 3, Scattering Rice 2, Lynx 2, Otter 1, and Voyageur 1.

Next year is the 32nd Anniversary of the Spring Classic which will be held June 9th and 10th, 2012.
