The White bass are in town

The river is finally settling down and now it is time to fish. This past week the walleye fishing was outstanding. We are still drifting with 3/8 oz jigs and shiners. Stay in the 10 to 15 feet of water and slow down the drift with the trolling motor. For all of the white bass people out there we have some good news. The bite is on we have been catching 20 to 30 a day in the deep holes in the river. Remember to check out the mud flats in the afternoon. Let the sun get high in the sky to warm the shallow water. Get the spinners out and hit the shore lines. The fish will move up and hold on because the big girls are in town.
