A couple weeks ago we did not do well on my home lake (as reported) but yesterday we did ok.

All fish were deep but hard hitting with multiple species caught. 1 Northern released, several smaller fish also released and a few kept for the frying pan. I can hear the oil popping on lake Crisco now.

5 or 6 years ago my home lake suffered from a small winter fish kill (this happens to many shallow lakes from time to time during a long winter with heavy snow and late ice out) and yes, the lake is making a good recovery as shown below. All fish were caught on the south east side of the lake.

As always, stay positive, think clearly, do not listen to negative talk and do not listen to negative people.
