Thanks to Steve n John Harris, Ben, Mike, Mike and Jake for booking your fishing charter with Sunchaser. They have fishing with us for well over 8 years and it is much appreciated. Saturday we went on the hunt to deeper water looking for schools on the bite. We had a huge mayfly hatch during the night which effects the fishing. The Zebra Mussel's have the water much cleaner and brought the return of the mayfly's to Lake Erie which we now have an annual hatch every year. We got into a nice school drift fishing and caught a few casting worm harnesses with gold blades tipped with night crawlers. We had about 1 to 2 ft waves and everything was perfect for a good day then the wind died and so did the bite. We switched over to trolling and finished the day. Day two was very little wind from the get go so we trolled all day. It started good with Ben catching a 28 1/2" Fish Ohio Walleye on a Purple Demon at 60 ft. That's a good start on any day but again only the first couple hours and then the walleye got lock jaw. It was not the most productive two days. Capt Mike had the guys change depth's and lures.
