Fishing Report for May 19

Yesterday, fished up on lake superior out of Ashland. Trolled for salmon, and got two in the boat, and lost 3 more, hot baits were reef runner rip sticks, trolled over anywhere from 18-60 feet of water, also got a nice bonus 23 inch lake trout. Talked to some other guys and two other boats got 3 lake trout each and another boat got a nice rainbow too. Everybody was trolling the same area, and keep your baits in the top 15 feet of the water column.

This morning guided out on Sand lake for walleye, it was good, we got about 20-25 walleye in the boat, most of them were 15-16 inches. Got some on jig and minnows in the weeds, but most of them were caught on slip bobbers in the weeds, also got 6 nice perch too.
