Well it looks like i've found my last shed horn for the year. Shed hunting for to long this year with too little results. It seems that shroom season is almost here in se wis. Lots of plants busting up from the ground. This is my second favorite time of year to be outside.
There is a couple of spots i've been stopping at on my way to or from work, to scout in the last couple of days. Wondering when the morels will make their 1st. appearance of the year. The days for the most part are in the 50's and nighttime temps are in the high 30's, still a little early. But you know, there are certain things i look forward to every year. the first Walleye, The The first Musky, the first big deer sighting, and the last shed horn.
Because i know once i've found my last shed horn for the year, morels are just around the corner.
