Northern/Muskie fishing i need advice

i have caught both species my whole life but im talking like two small muskie which i caught by mistake a 24 incher fishing for crappies and a fingerling fishing for perch and the northerns i also have caught as a child under the guidance of my dad and family using natural bait in open water and through the ice but i have tried using those method to the best of my memory with no luck over the last couple years i got bass fishing down i have i caught at least a hundred ranging from 10in to 22in and 5.5lbs this past summer using artificial lures so i really want to step up and try for a more difficult species and use artificial if anyones got advice my ears are open
