How is the flowage

Hello I plan on coming up to the flowage with a few of my friends in two weeks. We plan on coming on the flowage by Donners bay. Last time we were up there we had good luck on Bastine. I was wondering how thick the ice is and how we should plan on getting on, with fourweeler,snowmobile,pick-up ect. We tried for walleyes by the small island with no luck but the crappies were ok. If you have any info were to try for walleyes around that area let me know it would be nice thanks also if you know any danger spots with the ice.I herd you guys talking about the pick up going through the ice. we don't want that to happen to us.
I would like to know how how far drive it is to Fishermans landing from donners bay and if it is worth the drive to try for walleyes.
