not fishing this time
Some might find this interesting.
Over the last two years, a few friends and I have been working on a 32 foot basswood-strip canoe. It is finally done, and we tore apart a 30 foot camper to create a trailer.
I love the flowage, and plan to be out Mon-Thurs next week (sept 14-17)with 12 friends in the new boat. This will be the first trip on the big lake. I hope she is seaworthy!
Wave if you see us. I don't think we will be hard to spot!
hope the pic works...

As a fellow wood worker:Good job!
Only one problem though, you will have to paddle down to the big water just to turn around. :)

Great time on the lake. The winds made things fun. We paddled all the way to R15 at the South end and then fashioned a sail and battled the waves to get back up to G2 where we camped. We ended all the way up at Turtle Falls. I would estimate we covered about 25 miles in three days. Thanks for the big wave Don! It was good to see you out there. Attachment 24603Attachment 24603

It was great to see you and the gang out there, you all should be proud of such a fine rig, it's a beauty.
