Jan 8 - brrrrr but the ice is looking good

The fishermen in last weekend reported 14-16" of ice out front of the resort and the walleye are biting just before dark. I talked to one of the locals and found that there are a few people driving out on Pike Bay and have seen one pickup out on Cass the last week, no roads are really needed on either Cass or Pike bay as most of the snow is packed down pretty good or blown off with the high winds that came with the negative temps. No slush reported at this time. The lodge is suffering a little with a septic line frozen up, guess we will all pile in with Wade - LOL
