Tomahawk Fishing Report 6/22/2012
Lots of storms this week made it tough on the fisherman.
Look for the fishing to pick up as the weekend goes on.
Bluegills, bigger fish are deep. Best action is on a 1/64 oz jig with a small (baby) leech, leeches are hot right now. Fish the deep weeds or if on Mohawksin fish the Sarah Park trestle.
Look for Crappies suspended over deep structure, slip bobbers and a ratso jig tipped with a small fathead minnow working best.
Smallies, shad type baits working good. Fish areas with wood and rock structure in 5 feet of water.
Largemouths, spinners are the ticket here, look for some good Bass action this weekend.
Pike, Minnow type baits working well along with Mepps #5's.
Muskie action was slow this week, cold fronts have moved these fish deeper and tighter to structure. Try slower moving lures. Plastics will be a good choice.
Good Luck
