Sat. 2-18-12 report
Two friends and I spent a few hours on the bay north of Kipling this morning starting at 6 a.m. to see if we could find some walleyes. We did watch some decent fish on the camera after daylight and I released one undersized fish, but action was slow. We switched to perch rigs after sunrise, but generally slow action continued. We landed and released a bunch of smaller fish but the bigger ones stayed away. Funny thing, using a one-quarter ounce gold Rat-L-Trap as an attractor would quickly pull perch and some probable keeper walleyes in for a look, but we could not trigger the walleyes. I think we could have waited for them to turn on, but ran out of time. We also watched several whitefish pass through.

How deep were you? Thanks in advance.
My luck fishing lately is similar to CASINO LUCK...none.

We were in 13 feet at a transition between deeper water and weedy shallows.

Not sure how I got the date wrong, but it should have been 18 Feb.
