January 3rd - Ice Report

The ice is in great shape after a week of questionable weather. People are driving their trucks on most area lakes. Fishing in general is HOT! I've been focusing on deep channels to target big walleyes and big pike. Tip ups with suckers are awfully tough to beat. I've also had some luck jigging with small spoons tipped with minnows and Jigging Raps. The crappies have also been active on main lake basins and channels. Jigging with soft plastics takes top honors with a tip down and crappie minnow combo in a close second.
