Big Lake/West Bay Fishing report

Hey Guys. I just got back from beautiful Land O Lakes and here's a little report. First Big Lake...The weeds on the south shore of Big lake are very thick and pretty much unfishable. However, I caught lots of Jumbo perch and some nice walleye right on the weed edges. Some shoreline wood held fish but mostly small perch and some nice Smallmouth. Not much going on in Palmer bay. West Bay..... The West Bay rock bars were hot and cold....One day we caught 35 walleye on a bar (Almost all of them released) and the next day couldn't find a bite. Saw some musky action on West Bay, but not too much to report(mostly follows). Some nice Smallmouth on the deeper shorelines!!! The best action on both lakes for all species was crawlers and some on Black tails. Hope that helps ya!!!!
