7-10-09 Fishing report

The water level on the river is dropping without the rain. The water temp is 76 degrees.
Top water is working on the smallmouth in the river system. Northern pike fishing is fun right now fishing the bays and lakes. We are running spinner baits and buzz baits. The morning on the weed beds on Lake Poygan will produce some nice fish also.

The last guide trip on the river we caught 5 Northern and 3 smallmouth on a 4 hour trip. We had over 10 blow up with the fish hitting short. The sun was high in the sky with temps in the 80's.
