Area Lakes Fishing Reports

7/19/15 Lake Geneva, sunny, 80 degrees, winds N at 5 mph, water temp 75 degrees. We caught 6 smallmouth bass, 2 largemouth and a few pan fish. the best success was by Knollwood to Cedar Point. Most of the success came out of 14-22 ft of water .

7/18/15 Delavan lake, sunny, 85 degrees, NE wind at 10 mph, water temp 75 degrees. We caught 2 northern pike, 13 largemouth and a few bluegills. Fished the main lake points with leeches and nightcrawlers, we also caught some largemouth on medium suckers in 8 ft of water.

7/17/15 Lake Mendota, sunny, 75 degrees, NE wind at 5 mph, water temp 72 degrees. Caught 6 walleyes, 1 northern pike, 3 smallmouth and 12 white bass. All fish were caught trolling crank baits near the main lake points

7/16/15 Delavan lake, cloudy, 72 degrees, SW winds at 5 mph, water temp 74 degrees. We caught 12 largemouth bass, 2 walleyes and 2 northern pike. Fished leeches and night crawlers off the main lake points, the best location was just west of the Willow Point.

7/14/15 Lake Geneva, partly cloudy, 78 degrees, N wind at 15 mph, water temp 74 degrees. We caught 9 largemouth bass and 6 smallmouth.

7/11/15 Lake Geneva, cloudy, 73 degrees, winds calm, water temp 73 degrees. Caught 2 smallmouth and 4 largemouth bass and a bunch of pan fish. Fishing was slow, the lack of wind affected the bite due to water clarity. All fish were caught on split shot rigged night crawlers.
7/9/15 Lake Mendota, sunny, 75 degrees, NE wind at 5 mph, water temp 72 degrees. Caught 9 walleyes, 3 northern pike, 3 smallmouth and 12 white bass. Fished all day fish were caught trolling crank baits near the main lake points.
7/8/15 Lake Geneva, cloudy, 70 degrees, NE wind at 5 mph, water temp 72 degrees. Caught 10 smallmouth 3 largemouth bass and 1 northern pike.. The fish were caught on lindy rigged crawlers and leeches and lindy rigged medium suckers.
7/6/15 Lake Koshkonong, sunny, 75 degrees, south wind, water temp 76 degrees. Caught 8 walleyes, 6 white bass s and 3 sheep head.

7/4/15 Lake Geneva, sunny, 75 degrees, no wind, water temp 71 degrees. Caught 11 largemouth bass, 5 smallmouth bass and a bunch of pan fish. Caught fish by Knollwood and Military Academy Point. The best depth was 12-15 ft of water.
7/3/15 Lake Geneva, sunny, 70 degrees, winds E at 5 mph, water temp 71 degrees. Caught 13 largemouth bass and a whole bunch of pan fish. Caught most of the fish by Black Point. All fish were caught on split shot rigged night crawlers and 12-15 ft of water.
7/2/15 Lake Geneva, sunny, 55 degrees, E wind at 10 mph, water temp 69 degrees. Caught 11 largemouth bass, 6 smallmouth bass and a bunch of pan fish. Caught most of the fish by Knollwood and Elgin Club in 12 ft of water. Small plastics and split shot rigged night crawlers were the most effective.
6/30/15 Delavan Lake, cloudy, 73 degrees, no wind, water temp 69 degrees. Caught 1 walleye, 1 northern pike, 2 smallmouth and 6 largemouth bass. The smallmouth and northern pike were caught on lindy rigged suckers in 22-24 ft of water.
