jan 12,2021 cass lake ice update

my recent guests are reporting most ice at 12-15 inches of ice on the south end off the hwy 2 access and over on the kettle. however, anyone moving north on the west shore have reported pockets of 9-10" of ice where the snow has drifted. Be careful.
I am seeing small trucks on the lake but still would recommend 4 wheelers or snow moblies.
Permanant houses are not out yet if not able to take out with small vehichle. We have not put ours out as yet. The north end (north of star) has houses out but is at 13" most places, again no truck travel recommended'
Fishing has been good ,perch are plentiful and a few walleyes and northern have been brought in

Pike Bay is reporting much better ice for truck travel anywhere on the lake
