Fishing Report 2-7-10

First report is from last week; Bernie, Kerry and I hit a Cranberry pond with hopes of finding some nice bluegills. We did find some fish, a mixed bag of bluegills, perch, crappies and bass. Fishing was slow, drilled a lot of holes and only had 10 keepers to show for it. Nothing consistent, meaning we caught fish on minnows, jigs and wax worms.

Second report comes from the north woods. Sunday, Kalie and I got out with Matt and Pam. Once again we we’re looking for crappies and once we found the weed line our locators were showing fish all day long. We could bring them up off the bottom and found them to be just lookers. Along with some small bluegills we ended the day with four nice crappies. One crappie came of a tip-down with the others jigging.

In both outings it wasn’t about catching fish…it was the great company and laughs we shared.
