Tomahawk Fishing Report 1/21/2009

Warmer weather brought out the Ice Anglers this week.

Ice conditions very good with most lakes having 18 to 20 inches.

Perch fishing is very good on the lakes, with nice perch up to 12 inches. Manson Lake doing very good, use Rosies and fish the deep weed edge. Good reports from Lake Mohawksin, use Baby Shiners and fish the flats. Some anglers are using wigglers with some luck.

Crappies still on the slow side, some reports from Lake Alice and Mohawksin.

Bluegills doing well on Nokomis and the Willow. Purple jigs with mousies.

Walleyes best at Sunset, good reports on the flowages. Med. size Suckers seem to be catching more fish then Shiners.

Pike action is fair. Fish the deep weed edges with large suckers.
