Hayward area walleye

Finally was able to get out on the ice for the first time. It was a long but great holliday season. Highlighted with jenn and I getting engaged.

Jenn, dad, and I got out for about 3 hours tonight and caught 2 walleye. The first was probably the fattest 21 incher I've ever seen and a nice 16. Going to taste great for dinner tomorrow. Dad lost one and we had 2 get picked up and dropped. All the action came at first dark. Fish were in about 12 feet of water.

Ice looks great. About 10 inches of good hard ice. Very little snow on the lakes and with so cold weather coming next week we should be driving soon.
