dec 18 - changes in the ice

The ice heave that formed out there between us an star island shifted this morning with the sound of thunder and the guys fishing out past it felt the wave and movement of the ice. yikes! when they came in they reported that there is a 2-3 inch separation in the ice now and water rushed up on both sides of the crack. Where they were able to go across on 4 wheelers earlier they had to follow the ridge into the shore line north of us before crossing.
Fishing has been pretty good, especially up on the north side of the lake, our spearing guests did well yesterday and our fish cleaning bucket proves that.
